Group Training Guidelines
The Asian International School would like to invite both International and Vietnamese teachers alike, to work together in order to compete in a group competition to see which group can create a lesson that demonstrates the best teaching practices.
Prizes for winning groups are as followed:
- 1st = 7.000.000 vnd
- 2nd = 4.000.000 vnd
- 3rd = 3.000.000 vnd
- Consolation = 2.000.000 vnd
For the competition, your group will create a 25-minute presentation and activity that applies and exemplifies one of the teaching practices of either high quality learning, intercultural learning, or global citizenship within the lesson.
Rules and Guidelines
Groups:
- 4-5 teachers per group. You will select your own groups. Groups
- Your group can choose which best teaching practice to base your lesson on, either: high quality learning, intercultural learning, or global citizenship
Presentation:
- A presentation and activity that best reflects your groups selected teaching practice within the 25-min timeframe
- Creativity and innovation are encouraged when creating the presentation and activity.
- Please submit a signed soft and hard copy of your presentation before the date of the competition
Competition Rounds:
- The campus round will be where groups will compete with other groups from their own campus in April, 2019.
- The final round will be a campus-wide competition where the winning group from each campus will compete against one another on May 18, 2019.
Judging and Scoring:
- For the campus round, group presentation and activities will be judged and scored on a scale of 10. IP Managers scores will be 50% of the final score, while participating groups will also get to score their peers, accounting for the remaining 50%.
- For the final round, the Board of Trustees will judge and score the presentations.
