Improving students’ abilities through “Being a teacher’’ contest
“Being a teacher” contest is one of the most creative activities of the Asian International School.Initiated in 2007, “little teachers” of the Asian School are getting more and more confident while standing in front of the class, through 12 years.
Within 2 days (August 7th-8th, 2018), excellent contestants selected from the first round have come to compete in the final round of “Being a teacher” contest.
In order to carry out teaching activities for 15 to 30 minutes, the students have to prepare their own lesson plans and teaching aids, practice speaking in front of the class and adjust themselves in poised and earnest manner as a real teacher. Being well- dressed, the "kid teachers" perform their talents convincingly and bring a lot of special feelings to the judges and other participants.
Hopefully, the students not only improve their skills in expressing and presenting in front of the crowd, develop their creative ability but also learn to be patient, persevere and learn to love students as teachers, through this contest.
It is an opportunity whereby students will have more respect for teaching and much more love for their teachers.
This great insight will help students to have a better attitude in learning and living.
